Hataka Hobby HTK-AS88 “Early WW2 German AFV ” (paint set 8 x 17ml)
High quality water-based, acrylic paints.
Since 1923 majority of vehicles of German Reichswehr were painted in 3-colour camouflage of Erdgelb, Grün and Braun. Those were standardised in 1933 according to RAL system and were later known as RAL 8002, 6007 and 8010 (according to RAL 840R standard). Auxiliary vehicles (passenger cars, motorcycles, etc.) wore RAL 6006 Feldgrau colour. In 1937 a new 2-colour pattern (low contrast) of RAL7021 Dunkelgrau and RAL 7017 Dunkelbraun (both colours from greys palette) was introduced, simplified in 1940 into overall RAL7021 Dunkelgrau. According to many sources use of Dunkelbraun was however not as common as expected. During first winter operations on the Eastern Front (1941/42), temporary white paint was introduced and widely used.
HTK-AS886 includes standard colours of German military vehicles from 1923 till 1943. The set contains:
- HTK-A151 – Early Feldgrau (Grey Olive) - Match with RAL 840R - 6006, standard 1933-37 colour of non-camouflaged German vehicles. Later used on small equipment
- HTK-A297 – Erdgelb – RAL 840R - 8002, standard camouflage colour of German AFVs from 1923 till 1937 (in 1933 standardised according to RAL)
- HTK-A298 – Grün – RAL 840R - 6007, standard camouflage colour of German AFVs from 1923 till 1937 (in 1933 standardised according to RAL)
- HTK-A299 – Braun – RAL 840R - 8010, standard camouflage colour of German AFVs from 1923 till 1937 (in 1933 standardised according to RAL)
- HTK-A164 – Panzer Dunkelgrau Base - RAL 840R - 7021, base camo colour (from mid-1937) and later overall colour (from mid-1940) of majority of German AFVs
- HTK-A168 – Dunkelbraun (Dark Brown) - The best match for RAL 840R - 7017, between mid-1937 and mid-1940 used for irregular camo patches over Dunkelgrau
- HTK-A153 – Acrylic Temporary White - Washable (temporary) matt paint used to cover selected areas in improvised winter camouflage of various German AFVs
- HTK-A300 – Fliegerblaugrau (Anthracite Grey) - Match with RAL 840R - 7016 "Fliegerblaugrau" - standard colour of various vehicles of German Luftwaffe ground forces
For dilute please use Hataka acrylic thinner
